Melissa's All-Stars skimmed the cream of the non-profit world.  These friends of Melissa McWhinney represented all that's good in the world, bringing in people she knows from a variety of venues, including schools, government, politics and non-profit agencies. 

 

The Gentle Giant Rowing Club is a not-for-profit institution dedicated to the personal, team, and entire institutional growth of its membership through competitive rowing on the Mystic River in Somerville. Our Club teaches rowing as metaphor for life. The athletic, emotional, and social lessons derived by its membership benefit not only the individual rowers and coxswains but also their greater circle of family, friends, and coworkers.

  • Ben, Kate, Don, Judah, Joan, Dale, Allan, & Gracio who helped coach a new club record of 60 novices in one month.
  • Shana, Iliana, Jeff, John, Gina, Jen, Alana, who helped in coxing the boats during practices and during the races.
  • The M/W/F PM class who helped clean the boathouse before the race on Saturday.
  • Fred & Judith for cooking during the BBQ.
