the increased popularity in the sport of rowing a novice program is ideal for those
interested in starting the morning off with a picturesque sun rise, or getting the blood
pumping before the daily grind, and raising the energy level for the day, or working out
the day's frustration after work on the water. Classes are run Monday through Thursday

The
Charles River is currently at its capacity with the over 2,600 rowers using the river on a
daily basis. Equipment up and down the river is limited and demand far exceeds the
availability of instructional facilities. Our Mystic River base of competitive rowing
provides an additional venue for those masters, veterans and senior sweep rowers to race
in major national and international regattas such as the Head of the Charles Regatta, The
Royal Canadian Henley Regatta, and Master's Nationals among others. Classes are run
Monday through Saturday from 6:00 to 8:30 AM and PM.
Our
Coaching staff has years of rowing, teaching, and coaching experience to accelerate the
learning of all our participants. Putting safety first, all staff are Red Cross CPR and
First Aid certified and power squadron certified in the use of motor boats from which they
coach. All our coaches are also enrolled in USRowing's coaching certification program to
insure their professional development and knowledge of the latest advances and news in the
rowing world.
